TED x IIHMR

Being committed to the conservation and promotion of Folk music of Rajasthan, the Foundation started a program – ‘Arpan Music Lab’ designed to train some of the youngest folk voices of Rajasthan.

Children from remote areas of Rajasthan have been taken through intensive training by gurus. Music experts from Mumbai have hand held these children through focus areas of vocal training and live performance.

These children are extremely talented. The lure of urban offers are enough to drift them away from their talents. It becomes our commitment to handover these living traditions to the new generation,

Ms. Manesha A Agarwal, the Founder, Trustee of Arpan Foundation believes this. She is committed to bringing the various folk music art forms from the remotest of areas and introduce them to a global stage.

While working on nurturing their skills in all the aspects of taking on music as a profession, Arpan Foundation is also working on giving them performance platforms through various efforts, like maximum media outreach, among others. The children recently gave a live performance at the prestigious TEDx platform at IIHMRU, Jaipur.
